Narrative Themes

What are Themes? Why are they important to identity for the audience?

A Theme is a proponent or reoccurring in a piece of film. This has an impact on the audience as it is important for the theme of the film to connect with the audiences expectations and that they respond in a appropriate way.
How are Themes dependent on genres and why?

The audience need to know what to expect and the director needs to know what to include in his/ her film. Each film has its own conventional themes.

  1. A few films explored and identification of the themes within them.

    To improve;
    -think about different genres and the themes they portray. You can do this in a table and include.
    -conclude with what themes you plan to use
